Camp Granada If you have a child between the ages of 8 and 16 who has diabetes, I encourage you to consider sending them to Camp Granada this July 13-28 2008. Camp Granada is an American Diabetes Association resident camp located in Monticello, Illinois at the 4H Memorial Camp owned by the University of Illinois. Camp provides an opportunity for children to learn more about themselves and their diabetes in a fun-filled, safe camping environment. For 30 years, children with diabetes, ages 8-16, have been coming to Camp Granada to enjoy swimming, canoeing, wall-climbing, tie-dying shirts, arts & crafts and fun-filled evening programs. While making new friends, campers will learn self-management skills such as: managing medications, exercise and meals, all while under appropriate medical supervision. For more info on Camp Granada, contact Donna Scott at 888-342-2383 ext. 6641 |
